A 40-year class reunion lead to the creation of a nonprofit alumni organization called “Capac Classmates Promoting Future Adults” and a career scholarship. An innovative scholarship going to the “most improved “. The focus for this scholarship is character. The purpose of this scholarship is to promote and support the community by supporting students in the pursuit of their future careers. It can be used for a business as well as certification programs or college costs and any senior or equivalent living in the Capac School District is eligible. Our first scholarship was awarded in 2023. In 2024 we will be awarding two scholarships totaling $5,000 from the generous support during last year’s event. The Comedy Series will be making an appearance at Belle River Golf Course on May 4th at 8:00pm.
Headlining the show is Steve Iott!
Steve has been headlining comedy clubs across the United States for over 25 years. He is known for his improvisational comedy and clever one-liners.
He is an embattled veteran comic who has seen it all. and has plenty to say about it. He does comedy without the aid of props, mirrors, or sleight-of-hand camera tricks. In addition to being a professional comedian, Steve also writes an award-winning column, has appeared on A&E and Comedy Central, was the opening act for Bill Maher, Chicago, and Steven Wright. He can also be heard on The Bob and Tom Show and NPR radio.
Also featuring Chris Reed! Chris is a comic from Flint, MI. His act incorporates word play and twist endings. He covers a broad range of topics including marriage and substitute teaching. He has performed at The Funny Spot, Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase, Depot Town Comedy Show, and Comedy at the Creek.
Your host for the evening is Bill Morrison! Born and raised in the Detroit area, Bill has a lifetime of bottled-up frustrations that come out in a torrent of emotions, which allows others to release their angst, vicariously through him. His humor comes from his experiences as a husband and father, and the trials and tribulations of everyday life. Bill is no doctor but laughing along with him might just make your day. He has performed at One Night Stan’s in Waterford, Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, and in various clubs in Las Vegas. Adult content, 21 & up
